Integrated School health initiative was founded by mass medical mission (mmm or m3).

mmm is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan charity focused primarily on preventive health care (also known as community medicine). It was founded on the 18th of October, 2004.

By convention, the organization’s full name (mass medical mission) and its acronym (mmm) are always written in the lower case (small letters). The slogan of mmm is ‘Heal the people, heal the nation, heal the world’.

The mission is registered as an Incorporated Trustee which strives to support the national government to achieve its health indices.

mmm is concerned with all the five levels of preventive health care (Primordial, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Quaternary prevention).

Our guiding philosophy at mmm is that prevention is better, cheaper and surer than cure. Therefore, any meaningful health plan in the third world should lay at least as much emphasis on preventive as on curative healthcare.

mass medical mission reaches the unreached and underserved by using fully-equipped mobile health vehicles which are called the PinkCruise. During these health missions, people are often encountered who have little or no access to dental care or correct information about the importance and practice of oral hygiene. It is this field experience that inspired mmm to the conceptualize and initiate ISHI
